Dukes Finish Sixth at 2012 A-10 Championship

Duquense's swimming team wrapped up its 2011-12 season with a sixth place finish at the Atlantic 10 Championship. The Dukes finished just one point behind fifth place Rhode Island.

Six Dukes scored team points in three events led by freshman Line Lovberg who finished second in the 200-yard butterfly, breaking her own school record with a time of 2:00.78. She missed the NCAA B-Cut time by just .09 of a second.

Not far behind Lovberg was Meghan Smith who placed third in 2:01.39. An injured Miriam McGeath finished 14th in the event in 2:08.24 followed by Hannah Kondrotas in 16th in 2:10.71.

Erin Cawley captured eighth in the 100 freestyle in 52.13 while Morgan Claycomb placed 14th in the 200 backstroke in 2:05.68 and McGeath finished 15th in the 200 back in 2:05.73.

The championship ended with the 400 free relay finishing ninth in 3:30.81.
