2011-12 Men's Basketball Sched 
PITTSBURGH - Nationally televised clashes with Xavier and Richmond highlight the Atlantic 10 portion of the Duquesne men's basketball 2011-12 schedule released today.
Each of the league's 14 teams will play every A-10 opponent once and three teams twice for a total of 16 conference matchups.
DU, which finished last season tied fourth in the Atlantic 10 with a 10-6 record, will open conference play at home against Saint Joseph's on Wednesday, Jan. 4 at 7:00 p.m. The Dukes will be looking to avenge a 93-90 overtime loss to the Hawks in the second round of the 2011 Atlantic 10 Championship.
St. Bonaventure - one of three teams the Dukes will face twice in conference play - visits the Palumbo Center on Saturday, Jan. 7.
Duquesne then heads to Cincinnati to face defending A-10 regular season champion Xavier at 7:00 p.m. on Jan. 11 in a game that will be televised nationally by CBS College Sports.
DU is at Rhode Island on Saturday, Jan. 14 before hosting Massachusetts on Wednesday, Jan. 18. A trip to St. Louis for the first of two meetings with the Saint Louis Billikens is on Saturday, Jan. 21 with the month of January ending with a Saturday, Jan. 28 home game against La Salle.
The Dukes open February at Dayton on Wednesday, Feb. 1 before returning home to face Richmond in an ESPNU televised game on Saturday, Feb. 4 at 7:00 p.m. The Richmond game begins a stretch of four of five on TV.
DU makes a return trip to St. Bonaventure on Saturday, Feb. 11 for a CBS College Sports regionally syndicated game. The Dukes host Fordham on Wednesday, Feb. 15 before back-to-back CBS College Sports regionally syndicated games at Temple on Saturday, Feb. 18 and at home versus Dayton on Wednesday, Feb. 22.
Back-to-back games at George Washington (Feb. 25) and Charlotte (Feb. 29) will be followed by a regular season-ending home game with Saint Louis on Saturday, Mar. 3 at noon.
The 2012 Atlantic 10 Championship begins with games at campus sites on Tuesday, Mar. 6. First round winners, as well as the first four regular-season finishers will meet in Atlantic City, N.J. for the conclusion of the Championship on March 9-11. The final game, which will be played on Selection Sunday at 1:00 p.m., will be televised nationally by CBS.
Sixth-year head coach Ron Everhart returns three starters from last year's 19-13 CBI team.

2011-12 SCHEDULE QUICK NOTES
The Dukes are scheduled to appear on TV a minimum of seven times. Two of the games will emanate from the A.J. Palumbo Center (Feb. 4 vs. Richmond on ESPNU and Feb. 22 vs. Dayton on CBS College Sports regional). The Nov. 9 game at Arizona (ESPNU), the Nov. 30 game vs. Pitt (CBS College Sports National) and the Jan. 11 game at Xavier (CBS College Sports National) will air nationally. Additional TV clearances may be added.
This will be the fourth time in five years that the Dukes will open the A-10 season at home. DU finished 10-6 (T4th) in conference play last season.
DU's home-and-home conference opponents will be Dayton, St. Bonaventure and Saint Louis for the third straight year.
Every game of the conference schedule will be played on either a Wednesday or Saturday.
