Box Score

Duquesne's men's soccer team improved to 3-0-1 on Rooney Field and 3-5-1 overall with a 2-0 blanking of visiting Buffalo Sunday afternoon. Adam Clement and Joshua Patterson scored the DU goals while Sasa Miskovic collected his first collegiate win and shutout in goal.

Clement made his second goal of the season a game-winner in the 60th minute as Derek Patrizio crossed a ball into the box from a corner kick play. Nathan McCann got a head on it, directing it toward the goal as Clement tapped it in.

In the 76th minute, the Dukes added an insurance goal as Patterson scored for the first time this season. He buried a shot from 25 yards out into the top right corner of the goal off a through pass from Patrizio.

Miskovic made five saves in his first collegiate action as the Dukes outshot the Bulls, 12-9.

The Red and Blue will take 11 days off to prepare for their Atlantic 10 opener versus St. Bonaventure on Friday, Oct. 7 at 7:00 pm.
