LATROBE, Pa. - The Duquesne women's cross country teams jumped in the van this morning to run in the Saint Vincent Invitational.
Shelby Haitz finished fifth in a field of 124 runners from California, Pa., Westminster, Geneva, Davis & Elkins, Franciscan, Pitt-Johnstown, Chatham, Penn State Altoona, Point Park, Pitt Greensburg, Westmoreland Community College and the host Saint Vincent.
Haitz crossed in 19:55. Two places behind her was Colleen Gilmore who finished in 20:18. Elise Farris was 15th overall with a time of 20:54 and Laura Vehlies was 17th with a time of 21:02.
The runners head up to Bethlehem, Pa. for the Paul Short Run on Friday morning. The course is a 6k and begins 11:45 a.m.
