NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Duquesne volleyball team has been picked to finish third in the Atlantic 10 Conference according to a preseason poll of the league's 10 head coaches released today.
Two-time defending champion Dayton has been tabbed to win its third-straight Atlantic 10 Conference Volleyball title this fall. Xavier was picked second followed by the Dukes, Saint Louis, Charlotte, and George Washington. Fordham, Rhode Island, Temple and La Salle round out the remainder of the league.
The Dukes are coming off a record-breaking season in 2010. They broke the school record with 23 wins and won its first-ever A-10 Championship match. The regular season begins Friday, August 26th against Marist.
