PITTSBURGH - Duquesne University head men's basketball coach Ron Everhart announced today the center Martins Abele (Saldus, Latvia/Oak Hill (Va.)/Radford) has been declared academically ineligible and will miss the remainder of the 2011-12 season.

Abele, a 7-foot-1, 290-pound first-year transfer from Radford, averaged 0.3 points and 0.0 rebounds in six games.
