After taking Thanksgiving weekend off, the Dukes return to the water on Friday, Dec. 2 as they compete in the three-day Zippy Invitational at Akron.
Junior Miriam McGeath and sophomore Meghan Smith will join the Dukes in Ohio Saturday evening after competing in the U.S. Nationals in Atlanta Dec. 1-3.
McGeath will compete in the 200 IM on Thursday, the 400 IM on Friday and the 200-breaststroke on Saturday before heading to Akron to help the Red and Blue.
Smith will swim in the 200 IM time trial on Thursday, the 100 backstroke time trial on Friday and the 200 butterfly on Saturday before heading to Ohio.
This will be the last competition for the Dukes in 2011, before heading to Pompano Beach, Fla. for 10 days during the semester break.
