City Game to be Televised by ESPNU

PITTSBURGH - The Duquesne/Pitt men's basketball game scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 1 will be televised nationally by ESPNU. The game, which will be the first basketball game at the new CONSOL Energy Center, will tip at 9:00 p.m.

It is the seventh televised game - and fourth that will be nationally televised - for the Dukes in 2010-11. The games at Penn State (Dec. 4 on the Big Ten Network), vs. West Virginia (Dec. 12 at CONSOL Energy Center on CBS College Sports national) and at Richmond (Mar. 5 on CBS College Sports national) will also be available to a national audience. Please note that start time of the WVU game has been moved to 7:00 p.m. to accommodate TV.

In addition, Jan. 15 vs. Temple, Jan. 22 vs. Charlotte and Feb. 19 at Dayton will all be aired regionally by CBS College Sports.

This will be the third time in four years that the Duquesne/Pitt game will be carried nationally. Last year's game - the final game at Pittsburgh's Mellon Arena - was aired by CBS College Sports. The 2007-08 game was also on ESPNU.

There will be a pre-sale of Duquesne/Pitt tickets to season ticket holders from Tuesday, Oct. 12 at 10:00 a.m. through Oct. 17 at 10:00 p.m. General public tickets will go on sale Monday, Oct. 18 at 10:00 a.m. Tickets will be available at the Dick's Sporting Goods Box Office at CONSOL Energy Center and through Ticketmaster.

Duquesne season tickets - which include CONSOL Energy Center games against West Virginia, Dayton and Xavier - are currently available by calling 412-232-DUKE (3853). A record 1,030 season ticket packages have already been sold.

DU opens the 2010-11 at home vs. Bluefield State on Saturday, Nov. 13.
