NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Atlantic 10 Conference has named freshman outside hitter Allison Foschia (Northfield Center, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit) its Volleyball Rookie of the Week.

Foschia led Duquesne to a 3-1 week with wins over Robert Morris (3-0), Kent State (3-1) and Louisiana-Monroe (3-0). She opened the week with a 13 kill and a career-best 21 dig performance in the Dukes shutout of Robert Morris.

At the Kent State/Mizuno Open, she recorded a career-high 16 kills against the host Golden Flashes. She went on to record an impressive .381 hitting percentage in the Dukes' blanking of ULM.

Duquesne is 11-4 going into its Atlantic 10 Conference opener on Friday night against Xavier. Match time is at 7:00 p.m.
