NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Katie Rekart (Ellicott City, Md./Mt. Hebron HS) was named Atlantic 10 Lacrosse Player of the Week.

The redshirt sophomore scored 11 goals on 21 shots and added an assist in the Dukes' two games last week.

Rekart scored six times - including the game-winner - in DU's 17-14 win over Robert Morris and added five goals and an assist versus St. Bonaventure.

This is the third weekly A-10 honor for Rekart, who was the conference's rookie of the week March 16 and April 20 last year.

The Dukes (6-7, 1-2 A-10) host Massachusetts (6-6, 3-0 A-10) on Friday afternoon. Match time is now at 1:00 p.m.
