The ninth-seeded Dukes, who were picked to finish tied for 5th in the A-10 in a preseason poll of league coaches and media, are making their fourth consecutive championship appearance under head coach Ron Everhart. The Dukes, who snapped a streak of eight consecutive opening round losses with a 79-76 win over Massachusetts in 2004 and advanced to the final game last season, take on No. 8 seed St. Bonaventure (14-15, 7-9) at 7:00 p.m. (EST) on Tuesday. This is the fifth A-10 Championship meeting between the Dukes and Bonnies (2-2).

The last time Duquesne played a Championship game at a campus site was in 2003 when Danny Nee's West No. 6 seed Dukes traveled to Kingston, R.I. to face East No. 3 Rhode Island.
