PITTSBURGH - Duquesne University head men's basketball coach Ron Everhart announced today that guard/forward Bill Clark (Redondo Beach, Calif./Worcester (Mass.) Academy) has been suspended indefinitely. Clark, a junior who has played in 94 career games, will not participate in any basketball-related activities due to conduct deemed unacceptable to the team.
"As a co-captain and upperclassman, Bill has responsibilities and obligations to his teammates," said Duquesne head coach Ron Everhart. "Until he gains a better understanding of those responsibilities and obligations he will remain suspended."
Clark, who has played in 30 of 31 games in 2009-10, is second on the team in scoring (14.1 ppg.) and rebounding (6.0 rpg.). He leads the team with 46 3-point field goals.
Duquesne (16-15) opens play in the College Basketball Invitational at Princeton (20-8) on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
