Duquesne's women's swimming team wrapped up day three of competition at the Atlantic 10 Championship in fourth place of 10 teams with freshmen Miriam McGeath and Caitlin Zajko breaking school records.
McGeath placed third in the 400 IM with a school record time of 4:22.00. She was followed by Hannah Kondrotas in eighth place and Lori Yeaman in 16th place.
Kirstie Shumaker grabbed a sixth place finish in the 100 butterfly with a time of 56.99 followed by Meghann McGoldrick in 16th place.
Angela Majkut placed 10th overall in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:53.18 while Morgan Claycomb finished seventh in the 100 backstroke in 57.44. She was followed by Tara VanNatta in 11th place and Briana Mangis in 14th.
Zajko set a school record in the 100-yard breaststroke, finishing fifth in 1:05.16. Following her were Hillary Hocson in 14th place and Karissa Gorman in 15th.
The 400 medley relay team wrapped up the day with a fifth place showing in 3:51.61.
The final day of competition is Saturday with preliminaries beginning at 10:30 a.m. and finals beginning at 6:30 p.m.
