Dukes Place Seven Swimmers in Thursday's A-10 Finals

Duquesne's women's swimming team saw seven swimmers, including four in the 200-yard individual medley, score points on Thursday evening's day two of the Atlantic 10 Championship.

Junior Kirstie Shumaker placed sixth in the 200 IM, followed by freshman Caitlin Zajko in seventh, freshman Hilary Hocson in 12th and junior Briana Mangis in 14th.

Freshman Meghann McGoldrick turned in a sixth place showing in the 50-yard freestyle in 23.70 and sophomore Amanda McClelland an eighth place finish in the 500 freestyle in 5:07.37. Senior Anne Hayles placed 15th in the 500 free.

The 200-yard freestyle relay also placed sixth with a time of 1:36.70.

Day three of four begins Friday at 10:30 am with morning preliminaries. Finals will commence at 6:30 pm.
