PHILADELPHIA - Duquesne lacrosse junior Meghan Frederick (Cockeysville, Md./Dulaney) and freshman Katie Rekart (Ellicott City, Md./Mt. Hebron) were named Atlantic 10 Conference co-player of the week and rookie of the week respectively.

Frederick, who broke both the school and conference single-season record for assists with 54, recorded seven goals and eight assists for 15 points in the Dukes' three wins this past week. This is Frederick's second A-10 honor - she was rookie of the week on April 9, 2007.

Rekart, a redshirt freshman who missed all but three matches last season, recorded career-highs with five goals and six points in DU's sudden-goal overtime victory at St. Bonaventure. She finished the week with 10 goals and a pair of assists for 12 points. Rekart was named rookie of the week earlier this season on March 16.

The Dukes' ended their season 9-8 and 4-3 in A-10 Conference play.
