NEWPORT NEWS, VA - Liz Homan and Sara Scheirman were named Atlantic 10 All-Conference - Homan to the Second-Team and Scheirman to the All-Rookie Team.
Homan, who named to the All-Rookie Team in 2008, finished the season third in the conference in hitting percentage (.324) and fourth in blocks with 0.92/set. Additionally, she had a team-low 63 errors.
Scheirman, who was named A-10 Rookie of the Week two times in 2009 finsihed second on the Dukes with 281 kills. She becomes the ninth Duquesne player to be named to the All-Rookie team, joining teammates Homan (2008), Nicole Wright (2007) and Chelsea Tillotson (2006).
Duquesne concluded the season 16-14, 6-9 A-10.
