State Farm Shell Games Results 
AKRON - Melissa Miller set a new school record crossing in 25.90 in the 200 Meter Dash this weekend at the Akron Open as the Duquesne women's track & field team participated in the Akron Open this weekend. The Dukes had a good showing in the 400 meter dash as Erica Moody (59.41) and Kathleen Parker (59.70) finished second and third respectively.
Miller, along with Parker, Charlene Garth and Moody finished fifth in the 4x400 meter relay, crossing in 3:56.30.
Samantha Howard ran in the mile, crossing in 5:05.60 which was good for fifth. Miller's time of 25.90 was sixth in a field of 38 in the 200 meter dash. Carly Brickett had a fourth place finish in the 3000 meter run with a time of 10:44.18, three places ahead of Jenna Daggett who crossed in 10:48.81. Amanda Collins and Sarah Cappo each had a high jump of 4-11 and Sierra Larsuel had a long jump of 17-8.
Daniela Siciliano, Arin Whitman, Ariana Cort and Corinne Free participated in 2008 State Farm Shell Games at West Virginia. Siciliano placed fourth in the pole vault with a jump of 11-1.75. Cort finished tied for 15th place with a jump of 8-6.25
Whitman took first place in the weight throw (48-6) and third in the shot put (37-9.25) while Free finished ninth in the shot put (34-4.25) and 12th in the weight throw (34-8.25).
The team returns to Akron this weekend for the Roo Town Open.
