Women's Track Competes at Kent State

KENT, OHIO - The Duquesne women's track and field team participated in their final indoor team event of the year as they took part in the Kent State Tuneup Saturday.

Samantha Howard had the best showing for Duquesne as her time of 9:54.94 in the 3000 meter run was second in a field of 36 runners.

Amanda Collins' time of 48.96 in the 300 meter hurdles was good for a fifth place finish out of 18 runners.

In the mile, Katie Kelly crossed fourth out of 35 runners, with a time of 5:08.81.

Sierra Larsuel's long jump of 17-2 was third best out of 20.

The ECAC Championships are next for the Dukes. The event will be held at the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center in Boston.
