Dukes Split a Pair of Decisions at Bucknell

Results

Duquesne's women's swimming team split a pair of decisions at Bucknell Saturday afternoon. The Dukes lost to the host Bison, 174-120 and defeated St. Francis (Pa.), 188-74.

Sophomore Erin Sykes broke her own school record in winning the 1,000-yard freestyle in 10:21.31. Sykes also won the 500-yard freestyle in 5:03.94.

Three other Dukes won races as well including freshman Monique Lefort who took the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:08.06 and the 200-yard IM in 2:10.93. Fellow freshman Hannah Kondrotas won the 200-yard butterfly in 2:09.13 and senior Katrina Streiner won the 100-yard butterfly in 59.67.

The Dukes return to action on Friday, Nov. 14 as they travel to Clarion for a 4:00 pm meet.
