PITTSBURGH - Dana McLaughlin was named most valuable player at the 2007 Courtyard by Marriott Invitational. McLaughlin totaled 56 kills as the Dukes went 3-0 in the two-day event. Her 22 kills vs. Bucknell was a career-high.
She was joined by teammates Jenni Gross and Amy Palko. Gross had 41 kills and added another all-tournament team honor to her 2007 resume. She, along with Nicole Wright, were named to the Liberty Invitational All-Tournament Team last weekend.
Palko recorded three consecutive games registering 20-plus digs. The freshman libero tallied 25 Friday night against North Dakota State and had 26 and 23 digs respectively against UNC Greensboro and Bucknell.
