PITTSBURGH - Jenni Gross was named Co-Atlantic 10 Volley Player of the Week after being named to the all-tournament team at the 2007 Fiesta Bowl Tournament hosted by Northern Arizona University.
She a career-high with 26 kills in DU's 3-2 loss vs. High Point Sept. 7 and had a four-game career-best 20 kills in DU's 3-1 victory over Louisiana-Lafayette the following day. Gross hit a season-best .494 and 49 attempts vs. High Point and had a season-high three assists and six digs vs. Louisiana-Lafayette. Her seven blocks at Northern Arizona Sept. 8 was a season-best.
This is the third time Gross has been selected for an all-tournament team. She was named all-tournament at the Liberty Invitational (8/25) and 2007 Courtyard by Marriott Invitational (9/1). Gross is the seventh Dukes to earn A-10 Player of the Week Honors.
