Freshman midfielder Sarah Cates (Columbia, Md./Mt. Hebron) has been named Atlantic 10 Co-Rookie of the Week after her 13 shot, four goal performance Sunday vs. Bucknell. Cates also recorded three drew controls, two caused turnovers and two ground balls.
Her 13 shots ties Duquesne's second-highest single-game total in program history.
Cates joins teammate Janna Faulkner, who was the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week March 12, as winners of the award this season.
The Dukes return to the field Saturday, March 24 as they visit our nation's capitol when the play Howard. Game time is at 1:00 pm. The next home game will be Friday, March 30 when Denver visits Rooney Field.
