Duquesne University's Meredith Norris (Morgantown, W. Va./Morgantown) has been named the Atlantic 10's Women's Lacrosse Co-Rookie of the Week after leading the Dukes to a 2-0 record this past week. It is the first A-10 honor for Norris.

Norris, a senior goal keeper, is in her first collegiate year of competition protecting the Dukes' cage. In the Dukes' 19-7 win over Robert Morris, she recorded three saves and was awarded two ground balls. Norris had a solid game in goal vs. Ohio State stopping 12 of 18 shots, including two key saves in the 14th and 15th minutes of the second frame to keep it a 5-5 game. She solidified the Dukes' win in the 25th minute making a save to keep DU a head 7-5. Her 12 saves vs. the Buckeyes is her second-best performance this season. Norris also recorded two ground balls vs. OSU.

Duquesne won its fifth-straight and improved to 4-0 on the season defeating Robert Morris and Ohio State last week. The Dukes open Atlantic 10 play this Friday, Apr. 7, as they host La Salle at 4:00 pm on Rooney Field.
