Duquesne's women's swimming team set three school records and in finishing sixth of 10 schools at the Akron Invitational Dec. 1-3.
Sophomore Katrina Streiner won the 50-yard freestyle with a Duquesne season-best time of 23.77, finished second in the 100 free with a season-best time of 52.15 and placed third in the 100 butterfly with a Duquesne season-best time of 58.10.
Senior Melissa Johnson broke her own school records in the 200 freestyle and 200 IM, finishing second in the free in 1:51.99 and second in the IM in 2:06.51.
The 400 freestyle relay team of Johnson, Streiner, junior Lauren Stephens and sophomore Becky Miller also set a school record, placing second in 3:30.93.
The Dukes are off until Dec. 27 when they head to Ft. Lauderdale, FL for 11 days of holiday training at the CSCAA Swim Coaches Forum.
