Duquesne senior outside hitter Amanda Haeg (New Prague, Minn./New Prague) and freshman setter Chelsea Tillotson (Adrian, Mich./Tecumseh) have been named the Atlantic 10 Women's Volleyball Co-Player and Rookie of the Week respectively as announced by the Conference office. It is Haeg's first weekly honor and the second for Tillotson who was also named Sept. 25.
Haeg helped lead the Dukes to a 1-1 Atlantic 10 record this week defeating Fordham 3-2 while falling at Rhode Island 3-1. In the win over the Fordham Rams, Haeg recorded her 1,000th career kill needing just two entering the match. She finished the contest with a team-best 22 kills in the 3-2 win hitting .327 making just five errors on 52 swings while addung 15 digs and three blocks. Haeg had a match-best 20 kills in a 3-1 loss at Rhode Island and hit .370 (20-3-46) vs. the Rams. She was second with 16 digs for her second double-double of the weekend. Haeg averaged 4.67 kills and 3.44 digs on a 1-1 weekend and leads DU with 4.00 kpg and is second with 4.01 dpg.

Tillotson takes her second A-10 weekly honor after averaging 12.22 assists with a .526 setting percentage on the week. She added 1.67 digs and 1.22 kills and made just two errors on 22 attempts as the Dukes went 1-1 on the weekend. Tillotson had 54 assists, eight digs, two aces and three blocks in a 3-2 win at Fordham while hitting .429 (7-1-14) for the match. She followed that with 56 assists, seven digs, four kills and one ace in a 3-1 loss at Rhode Island. On the year is averaging 9.48 assists per game.
Duquesne returns to action Tuesday Oct. 10 hosting cross-town rival Robert Morris in a 7:00 pm non-conference match.
