Duquesne University's Ginger Flocco (Plymouth Meeting, Pa. / Plymouth-Whitemarsh) has been named an Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) / US Lacrosse first team Mid-Atlantic All-Regional and an Inside Lacrosse second team All-America as announced by the respective entities. It is the second-consecutive honor for the senior mid-fielder on both lists.
Two teams were named by the IWLCA while Inside Lacrosse chose three 16-member squads for its All-America list.
Flocco, a three-time All-Atlantic 10 pick, led the Dukes with 54 goals, 20 assists, 74 points, 42 draw controls and 38 ground balls. She was second with 26 caused turnovers and was credited with a team-best five game-winning goals. She was named a 2005 All-Atlantic 10 honoree and an A-10 All-Academic and All-Championship selection. Flocco ranked 12th in the NCAA in both points (4.35) and goals (3.18) per game and 15th in with 3.00 draw controls per game. Among Atlantic 10 leaders, Flocco was tied for first in game-winning goals, stood second in goals and points per game, third in draw controls, fourth in assists and tied for fifth in caused turnovers.
She concluded her Duquesne career first in the records books in game-winning goals (10) and draw controls (198); second in points (229), goals (177), games played (67) and game started (67). Flocco is third in assists (58), fourth in caused turnovers (108) and fifth in ground balls (124).
In 2004, Flocco was named the Atlantic 10 Offensive Player of the Year, an Inside Lacrosse national third-team All-America and as a first team Mid-Atlantic All-Regional pick.
Duquesne ended the 2005 season 13-4 overall and shared the Atlantic 10 regular-season title.
