Duquesne University women's lacrosse player Ginger Flocco (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Plymouth-Whitemarsh) has been named the Atlantic 10 Lacrosse Player of the Week as announced today by the Conference Office.
Flocco paced the Dukes with 12 goals and three assists for 15 points as Duquesne opened the 2005 slate with a 2-2 record. She notched two scores vs. the #4 Duke Blue Devils and posted five goals and two assists in Duquesne's 12-10 win over Denver. Flocco recorded four of the Dukes' six goals, including the game-winning free position goal in overtime, in the win at Ohio and added a goal at Ohio State.
In the four games, she has eight ground balls, six draw controls and five caused turnovers. Flocco was also named the an Inside Lacrosse Honorable Mention Player of the Week on Feb. 21.
The Dukes return to play on March 12 as they face Monmouth at 4:00 pm on the campus of Saint Joseph's University.
