Pittsburgh, Pa. - Duquesne University's Ginger Flocco (Plymouth Meeting, Pa. / Plymouth-Whitemarsh), who was named an Inside Lacrosse Third Team All-American earlier this week, earned a spot on the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Mid-Atlantic All-Regional Team it was announced Wednesday.

Flocco, a junior midfielder, was named to the 16-player first team. And fellow junior Laura App (Silver Spring, Md. / Good Counsel) was named to the region's second team.

Flocco, the Atlantic 10 Conference Offensive Player of the Year and a member of the Academic All-Conference team, led the Dukes to the league's regular-season co-Championship and to the final game of the championship tournament. The junior was also named to the 2004 Atlantic 10 All-Championship Team.

She led the A-10 with 3.22 goals, 4.33 points and 3.22 draw controls per game and was second with 1.61 caused turnovers per contest. The Philadelphia area native was also among the league leaders in assists, shots and game-winning goals. Flocco finished the season fourth in the nation in draw controls, 11th in points and 12th in goals per game.

App (left), who was named to the 2004 Atlantic 10 Women's Lacrosse Academic All-Conference Team, received two honorable mention citations this past season from WomensLacrosse.com. The Washington, D.C. area native led the Dukes with four game-winning goals which tied for first in the conference. She was second on the Dukes in scoring (79 points), goals (40) and assists (19) and was one of three to finish the campaign with more the than fifty percent shooting (.519).

As a team the Dukes were tied for eighth in the country with a 0.778 winning percentage and 10.67 caused turnovers per match. In addition, DU was 10th in scoring margin (+ 3.83), tied for 12th in scoring offense (12.39 gpg) and 16th in scoring defense (8.56 gpg).
