The Duquesne University rifle team concluded its 2003-04 season at the NRA Sectional / NCAA Qualifier in Philadelphia which also served as a postal match with Norwich. The Dukes lost to Norwich in smallbore, 4571-4535 and in air, 1522-1493.

Adam Bester tied the school smallbore record with a score of 1152 while Sara Barker followed with an 1131.

The Dukes finished the season with an 11-2 smallbore record and a 7-3 air rifle mark. Duquesne finished tied for third in the Middle Atlantic Rifle Conference Standings and did not qualify for the MAC or NCAA Championships. Bester will represent Duquesne as an individual at the NCAA's in smallbore action while Stephen Shanahan will participate in the air rifle competition.
