Atlantic 10 Championship - Day Two Preliminaries

Results

The Red and Blue finished the day two preliminaries of the Atlantic 10 Championship and will have nine individuals as well as two relay teams competing tonight.

Senior Annie Baldassari paced the Dukes this morning by breaking her own school record in the 200-yard freestyle, placing fifth with a time of 1:54.19. She will be joined in that event by senior Kathy Smucler who placed 11th. Also competing in tonight's finals will be sophomore Amy Gersbach, who finished 11th in the 400 IM and freshman Liz Yager and junior Laura Kephart who placed fifth and sixth in the 100 butterfly. In addition, sophomore Jillian Rupinski (6th) and junior Lauren Twombly (16th) qualified in the 100 breaststroke while sophomore Sarah Breisinger (8th) and freshman Stacie McCracken (16th) qualified in the 100 backstroke.

Tonight's finals, which include the 200 medley relay and the 800 freestyle relay, begin at 6:30 pm.
