Duquesne's freshman Kelly Mulford (Lutherville, Md. / Maryvale Prep) has been named the Atlantic 10 Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week.

Mulford accumulated five points over the weekend netting four goals and adding an assist as the Dukes went 1-1 to open Atlantic 10 play. She tied the team and game lead with two goals on five shots in DU's 11-9 win at George Washington and led the Dukes with two goals and one assist for three points in their loss at Richmond. She is tied for first on the team with 14 goals and stands second with 16 points.

Today's honors open the Spring Atlantic 10 awards season. In addition to Mulford, the league also announced that Leia Zingone and Devon Peightal were named the Women's Tennis Co-Performer and Men's Tennis Rookie of the Week, respectively.
