DUKES vs. RAMS
Duquesne leads the series 10-6 ... in Atlantic 10 regular-season play, Fordham holds a 4-3 edge ... in games played at New York the all-time series is tied 3-3 ... Duquesne snapped a three-game Fordham series win streak with a 95-66 win at the Palumbo Center last year ... the home team has won six of the seven A-10 meetings between the two ... FU broke the skein with an 89-88 win at Pittsburgh in 2000 ... DU's last win at Rose Hill Gym was on Mar. 4, 1961 (a span of three games) ... a deceptive stat considering the Dukes and Rams met just once - in the 1968 NIT - between 1961 and Fordham's addition to the A-10 in 1995-96 .. the DU/FU series dates back to Dec. 22, 1949.
DUQUESNE LATELY
DU had arguably the toughest league-opening schedule of any Atlantic 10 school ... in the month of January, the Dukes faced the six A-10 schools that made post-season appearances last year a total of seven times ... as a team, the Dukes are converting at 38.0% from the 3-point arc ... the mark is on pace to be the best in school history (the current mark of 37.5% was set in 1989-90) ... Jimmy Tricco led four Dukes in double figures with a career-high 23 points in last Saturday's 82-74 loss to La Salle ... Tricco, who has hit five or more 3-pointers in a game five times this season, was 7-13 from the arc vs. the Explorers ... his seven treys were the most by a Duke since Tom Pipkins went 7-12 vs. St. Bonaventure on 3/1/97 ... freshman PG Bryant McAllister posted five assists and five steals vs. La Salle.
HIGH SCORING AFFAIRS
The average score of Duquesne's seven A-10 matchups with Fordham has been an unusually high 79.1-75.9 in DU's favor. The Dukes, who have outscored the Rams 554-531 in the seven games, have topped 80 points five times (see series history below):
| IN A-10 PLAY | POINTS | PPG | 80+PTS |
| Fordham | 531 | 75.9 | 2 times |
| Duquesne | 554 | 79.1 | 5 times |
"BUZZ" WORTHY
Since moving from point guard to the shooting guard spot prior to the San Juan Shootout, senior guard Kevin "Buzzy" Forney has been a much more effective player at the offensive end. As a two-guard, Forney is averaging 4.8 more points per game and has seen his shooting percentage increase dramatically:
| FORNEY | FG-AT | PCT | PPG |
| First 7 games | 24-55 | .436 | 9.7 |
| Last 16 games | 83-160 | .519 | 14.5 |
Forney enters the Fordham game with 996 career points. He needs four to become Duquesne's 29th 1,000-point scorer and tie DU All-American Chuck Cooper (1947-50).

JIMMY "THREE"CO
Tricco's Troops, a student fan group that locates itself in the first row behind the scorer's table at Duquesne home games, got a workout when the Dukes took on La Salle on Feb. 8. The Troops, who dutifully hang a number "3" along the railing every time Tricco converts from the 3-point arc, nearly ran out of digits when Tricco went 7-of-13 from long distance vs. the Explorers. Tricco, who has hit five or more 3-pointers in a game five times this season, hit five in the second half of the Dukes' 82-74 loss. The first-year Gonzaga transfer, who scored a career-high 23 for the game, is 61-139 from the arc this season. In hitting seven "three's" vs. La Salle, Tricco became the first Duke to hit more than six since Tom Pipkins went 7-12 vs. St. Bonaventure on March 1, 1997 - a span of 167 games. Tricco's 43.9 shooting percentage from 3-point land currently ranks second on DU's all-time single-season list behind Courtney Wallace, who converted 44.1 percent of his 3-point attempts in 2000-01.

Tricco leads the team with 23 steals and ranks second on the team with 53 assists ...
