Duquesne head coach Danny Nee:

"I thought that in the first 10 to 15 minutes we had a great opportunity to get a lead. We just didn't shoot the ball well enough to get the job done.

"We got a great effort from Elijah Palmer. It just wasn't to be. We needed to shoot the ball better. Part of it was us and part of it was Siena's defense. I thought at times we rushed some shots, didn't use enough of the clock. They are a very poised team that won 20 games a year ago. Our guys knew how good they were."

Duquesne forward Elijah Palmer:

"They kept their composure. Every time we made a run, they came right back. I think the keys were our poor shooting and their rebounding and clutch shooting. If we'd have made some free throws [in the second half] we would have had a better chance for a comeback.

"In the second half I was a little fatigued. I'm not used to playing as many minutes as I did in the first half. I missed too many free throws down the stretch [1-4 in the second half]."
