Junior center Derek Ahern (Andrews AFB, Md./DeMatha/Palm Beach CC) has left the Duquesne University men's basketball team.

"Derek decided to leave the team," said Duquesne head coach Danny Nee. "He has withdrawn from his classes."

The 6-11, 260-pound Ahern, a first-year transfer from Palm Beach (Fla.) Community College, played in one game for the Dukes this season, scoring two points and grabbing two rebounds in four minutes of action at Maryland on Nov. 30.
