KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI -- Duquesne volleyball team (6-2) lost its second match of the day and of the season, falling to Youngstown State 3-2 (30-12, 26-30, 30-16, 27-30, 15-5) at the UMKC Invitational at the host's Swinney Recreation Center Friday evening.

Sophomore Ashley Macko (Pittsburgh, Pa. / South Park) led the Dukes with 18 kills and freshman Stephanie Hopkins (Tonawanda, N.Y. / Sweet Home) had a team-best 15 digs. Junior Sarah Brown (Glen Rock, Pa. / Susquehannock) again paced the Red and Blue with 59 assists. The Penguins (4-4) had 18 blocks to the Dukes six stoppers.

The Dukes continue the competition in the tournament as they face Iowa State Saturday at 11:00 am and Winthrop at 5:00 pm.
