Diana Wuebker (St. Henry, Ohio/St. Henry) of Duquesne University was named the Atlantic 10 Volleyball Co-Rookie of the Week for leading the Dukes in this weekend's matches with Xavier and Dayton.
In the Dukes' 3-2 upset over Xavier, the DU freshman led the team with 14 kills and three aces. With just five errors on 31 swings, Wuebker had a hitting percent of .290. She also posted a match-best five blocks and added seven digs.
Wuekber, the second leading attacker for DU vs. Dayton, recorded a career-best 17 kills in the 3-2 loss. She added 13 digs and three blocks and posted a hitting percent of .244 versus the Flyers as well. She averaged 3.10 kills, 2.00 digs, 0.80 blocks and 0.30 aces on the week.
Wuebker's citation is the third weekly conference honor for Head Coach Steve Opperman charges this season. more
Duquesne (14-10, 4-5 A10) travels to Loretta, PA for a 6:00 p.m. non-conference match with St. Francis on Friday, Nov. 1 followed by an A-10 contest in Washington, DC on Saturday, Nov. 2nd at 5:00 p.m. against George Washington (14-10, 5-4 A10) at the Smith Center.
