Duquesne's Stephanie Hopkins (Tonawanda, N.Y./Sweet Home) was named the Atlantic 10 Volleyball Rookie of the Week as announced by the Conference office.
Hopkins, an outside hitter, helped lead the Dukes to a 3-1 win over visiting George Washington this past week. She tied her career-best with 16 digs and three blocks, which included her first solo block. Hopkins boasted a .360 hitting percentage with just four errors and tied the team lead with 13 kills. She averaged 4.3 kills and 5.3 digs per game.
The Dukes are currently 12-8 overall, 2-3 in Atlantic 10 play putting them in a three-way tie for fourth in the Conference.
