Weekly Honors: Mia Gartley earned
Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honors after leading the Dukes at the RMU Colonial Invitational in her first career collegiate 6k, finishing in 24:49.4.
Winning Dukes: Duquesne opened the season with team victories at the
Saint Francis Father Bede Invitational. Junior
Ben Shields and sophomore
Sylvia Kashak also captured their first career individual meet titles, while the Dukes placed 11 runners among the top 13 finishers in the men's race and 11 among the top 17 in the women's race.
Race History: Duquesne returns to the National Catholic Invitational for the first time since 2023. The Dukes have won the men's team title twice, in 2005 and 2008, while the women's team most recently finished as the runner-up in 2021.
