FINISHING STRONG
For the second consecutive tournament, sophomore Abby Slankster found her groove late, posting the best round of the tournament for the Dukes. She fired a 77 Wednesday to close with a 54-hole score of 240. That tally finished just outside of the top 10 individually in 11th place. Slankster posted both of her birdies of the round on the front nine, including the longest hole of the course at No. 2. A 491-yard par five, Slankster birdied the hole and then went to two under on the front at hole No. 7, a 347-yard par four. She would finish the front nine with a 37 (+1) before handing in a 40 on the back nine. Slankster concluded the A-10 Championship pacing Duquesne in pars (29) and also led the Dukes in scoring on a par four (4.50) and a par five (5.25).
