Pittsburgh, Pa. – In a vote of Northeast Conference (NEC) head coaches, a total of four student-athletes from the Duquesne University bowling team were bestowed postseason plaudits Thursday. Senior
Emma Siekierski and junior
Maribeth Baker were each named to the 2026 All-NEC First Team, while both
Taylor Miller and
Jazmyn Scott were selected to the 2026 All-NEC Rookie Team.
Siekierski, a native of Davison, Mich., and coming off
her first career NEC Bowler of the Week (March 18) nod, garners All-NEC First Team accolades for the second consecutive year. Overall this season, Siekierski has posted an average frame of 19.83 as well as an average first ball of 8.98. She also owns 516 strikes in 1,163 attempts, a strike percentage of 44.4 percent. In NEC play, her fill percentage of 88.3 ranked second in the conference while overall she enters the 2026 NEC Championship at 86.4 percent in the category.
Among NCAA leaders, Siekierski ranks fourth in traditional format in single pin spare percentage at 97.6 percent as well as 14th overall at 93.9 percent. She also ranks in the top 50 in the country in Player Composite Performance Index (PCPI) at 79.257 percent, which sits 48th. In 240 frames against NEC foes in 2025-26, Siekierski posted the best PCPI across the conference at 94.184 percent. A consistent player for Duquesne throughout her final season as well as her career, Siekierski has logged an overall frame average of 197.6 this year, including 197.7 in traditional play as well as 197.5 in Baker action.
Baker, a native of York, Pa., and a three-time NEC Bowler of the Week in 2025-26, also earns her second All-NEC First Team accolade and first since her freshman year in 2024 when she was also tabbed to the All-NEC Rookie Team. She leads the Dukes in strikes with 628 to go along with a 54.2 strike percentage (628-of-1,159) as well as an overall fill percentage of 84.1 percent.
Entering the 2026 NEC Championship, Baker ranks among the nation's best in a number of categories. Her average frame of 20.739 ranks 15th in NCAA Division I, an average that improves to 21.288 in traditional format, which ranks seventh. Baker also ranks in the top 10 in the nation in individual strike percentage (54.4%) at ninth, while her average as the anchor bowler in the 10th frame at 21.249 sits seventh in NCAA Division I. She also ranks 25th in PCPI at 87.897 percent.
Miller, a native of Lititz, Pa., is a four-time NEC Rookie of the Week who enters the 2026 NEC Championship owning a frame average of 18.72 to go along with an average of 8.80 on her first ball, an overall fill percentage of 81.4 percent as well as a 40.2 strike percentage (410-for-1,021). In conference play, Miller was one of four Dukes to sit in the top 10 in the NEC in single pin spare percentage, sitting sixth at 91.8 percent.
Scott, a native of Urbana, Ohio, is also a four-time NEC Rookie of the Week. She has logged a frame average of 18.19 entering the 2026 NEC Championship to go along with an average of 8.74 on her first ball, a 78.3 overall fill percentage and a 38.8 strike percentage (393-for-1,013). In NEC play, Scott was one of five Dukes to rank in the top 20 in PCPI, sitting 18th at 38.357 percent, one spot behind Miller (48.816 percent).
Duquesne has had multiple student-athletes earn All-NEC First Team honors for four consecutive years with the accolades for Siekierski and Baker in 2026. Meanwhile, the Dukes have placed multiple student-athletes on the All-NEC Rookie Team with the honors for Miller and Scott for the first time since 2017.
The Dukes own an overall record of 59-43 (.578) in 2025-26, including a mark of 17-7 (.708) in the NEC. Duquesne claimed a share of the 2026 NEC regular-season championship with Niagara and is the No. 2 seed in the 2026 NEC Championship that begins Friday in Hamilton, N.J., at Hamilton Lanes. The Dukes
are ranked No. 20 in the latest Top 25 poll according to the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA).
