- The Duquesne volleyball team hits the road for the first time in Atlantic 10 play, traveling to Saint Louis for a two-match series against the Billikens on Friday, Oct. 2 and Saturday, Oct. 3. Friday's match is set for 7:00 p.m., with Saturday's contest scheduled for 2:00 p.m.

- The Dukes opened A10 play with a pair of victories last weekend, battling past Fordham, 3-2, on Friday night before earning a 3-1 victory over the Rams on Saturday afternoon inside UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.

- On Friday night, Duquesne battled back to force a decisive fifth set and quickly grabbed a 5-1 advantage. Junior Emersen Schrom opened the frame with a pair of kills, while junior Mirabella Iriarte added a point and teamed with senior Chloe Wilmot for a block to help the Dukes take control early.

- The Rams trimmed the deficit to 5-3, but Duquesne responded with an 8-1 run to build a commanding 13-4 lead. Schrom sparked the surge with three kills and an ace, while Wilmot and freshman Simone Searles also found the floor with kills. Freshman Londyn Stone would put the finishing touch on the victory, delivering a kill to seal the 15-6 fifth-set win.

- Schrom would eclipse 1.000 career kills on the night, finishing with 25 kills while hitting an impressive .420, adding a pair of service aces and three digs. She opened the match with six kills before recording five successful swings in each of the second, fourth and fifth sets. The performance marked the 12th time in her career she has recorded 20 or more kills in a match and the 10th time she has reached double figures this season.

- Joining Schrom in double figures were Simone Searles and Londyn Stone. Searles recorded her third double-double of the season, tallying a season-high 18 kills and 11 digs while hitting .344. Stone posted her second double-double of the season, finishing with 10 kills and 13 digs while adding a pair of aces.
