Pittsburgh, Pa. – The Duquesne University women's golf team continued its first tournament of the 2025-26 season Saturday with the second round of the Bucknell Fall Invitational in Lewisburg, Pa., at Bucknell Golf Club. The Dukes shot a 304 in the second 18 and overall own a score of 612 heading into Sunday's third and final round, which is tied for fifth with Saint Francis at the 5,901-yard, par 70 course.
TEAM LEADERBOARD
The host Bison continue to pace the field after the second day of action, and like Duquesne shaved four strokes off its score from the first round Saturday with a 293. Overall, Bucknell sits at 590, a total of 13 strokes ahead of Mount St. Mary's (603). Purdue Fort Wayne (608) and Holy Cross (609) sit third and fourth, respectively, while the top 10 out of 19 squads and following the Dukes and Red Flash is rounded out with Merrimack (613), Manhattan (621), Bucknell B (622) and LIU (626).
ON THE REBOUND
Sophomore
Sasha Petrochko, a five-time Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week last season, found her stroke on the back nine Saturday, closing with a 71 (+1) and shaving 13 strokes off her score from the opening round. The Dukes began round two on hole No. 1, and Petrochko notched a birdie on two of the first three holes. She added two more birdies on the back nine to finish one under with a 33 in the final nine holes. Petrochko will enter the third round Sunday in a tie for 24th individually with six other student-athletes.
IN THE HUNT
Sophomore
Katie Fodale, meanwhile, enters the final round Sunday in the hunt for medalist honors after logging a 78 in the second round. She sits in a tie for ninth overall with Olivia Williams of Merrimack as just five strokes separate the top 10 golfers in the tournament. Joelle Johnson of Bucknell took over the top spot Saturday, firing a 72 in the second round to sit at 145 overall. Fodale notched a pair of birdies Saturday, including one on the 486-yard par five at No. 9 as well as the longest hole of the course, a 508-yard par five at No. 15.

Ashley von Behren and sophomore
Abby Slankster are among a group of 11 golfers that are in a tie for 31st individually at 156. In her second NCAA Division I round Saturday, von Behren carded an 80, while Slankster closed with a 77. Also handing in a 78 Saturday for Duquesne was senior
Lindsey Powanda, who sits at 159 overall and registered a trio of birdies in the second round. Playing as individuals, freshman
Lilly Powell fired a 76 in her second round of NCAA Division I golf and is one of five golfers tied for 19th individually at 154. Sophomore
Katie Caryl carded an 82 Saturday and sits at 163, while sophomore
Paige Meyers is at 168 after an 88 in the second round.
