- The Duquesne University volleyball team returns to Pittsburgh for its first conference match inside UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse on Tuesday evening while opening three-match homestand, hosting Dayton at 5:00 p.m.

- The Dukes opened Atlantic 10 play last weekend, splitting a pair of matches at VCU. Duquesne dropped a 3-1 decision to the Rams on Friday night before bouncing back to secure a 3-2 five-set thriller victory on Saturday afternoon.

- On Saturday, Three Dukes recorded double-digit kills, led by Emersen Schrom, who notched her eighth double-double of the season with a team-high 18 kills and 17 digs, along with three blocks and two aces.

- Ariel Helm and Karli Jordan each added 11 kills, with Helm posting an impressive .647 hitting percentage, no errors, and three blocks. Carsyn Henschen contributed eight kills, while Chloe Wilmot registered her seventh double-double of the year with 45 assists and 12 digs, adding three kills and an ace.

- Defensively, senior Madison Grimm tallied 11 digs and a season-best seven assists, while Maggie Colenbrander chipped in 10 digs.

- On Friday, Sophomore Emersen Schrom was the lone Duke to record double-digit kills, posting her seventh double-double of the season with 17 kills and 10 digs, along with two assists and an ace.

- Senior Ariel Helm and freshman Karli Jordan each added seven kills, with Helm hitting .545 and contributing four blocks. Senior Carsyn Henschen chipped in six kills, while junior Chloe Wilmot notched her 12th match of 30 or more assists, finishing with 39 helpers, nine digs, and two aces.

- Senior Hanna Wilson led the team from the service line with three aces, and juniors Jordan Robertson and Jordan each contributed four and three blocks, respectively.

- Duquesne continues conference action when it hosts George Mason on Friday, Oct. 3 at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 4, at 2:00 p.m. inside UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.

Scouting The Flyers – Tuesday evening marks the 62nd meeting between Duquesne and Dayton, with the Flyers owning a commanding 57-4 advantage in the all-time series. Dayton enters the matchup with a 7-6 overall record and a 2-0 mark in conference play. The Flyers opened league action with back-to-back wins at Davidson, earning a 3-2 victory on Friday before sweeping the Wildcats on Saturday. Offensively, Dayton is powered by Kamryn Hunt, who averages 3.28 kills per set—sixth-best in the conference. Setter Melina Schrader directs the attack with 268 assists, averaging 6.83 per set. Defensively, Karissa Kaminski anchors the Flyers, leading the league with 4.38 digs per set while ranking second overall with 205 total digs.

On A Streak – Two Dukes have been consistently driving Duquesne's success this season, with sophomore Emersen Schrom leading the charge. Schrom has recorded double-digit kills in 13 straight matches, reaching 15 or more on nine occasions. She has totaled 236 kills on the year, ranking ninth nationally, while her 4.63 kills per set stand 14th in the country. Junior setter Chloe Wilmot continues to orchestrate the Dukes' attack, registering 30 or more assists in every match this season. She has tallied 40+ assists seven times, with her 11.29 assists per set ranking third in NCAA Division I. Wilmot has already dished out 576 assists this season and owns 2,223 for her career, placing her eighth in program history. Both players have also excelled in all-around play, Wilmot has notched seven double-doubles this season, while Schrom has posted eight. When the duo records a double-double in the same match, the Dukes boast a 4-1 record.

Dominating The Middle – Middle blockers Jordan Robertson and Ariel Helm continue to anchor the net for the Dukes this season. Both rank among the conference's top five in hitting percentage, with Robertson sitting third at .352 and Helm ranked fifth at .336. Robertson averages 1.13 blocks per set, which is fourth in the league, while her 54 total blocks rank fifth. The junior has recorded 5.0 or more blocks in seven matches this season, including three with 7.0. Helm is close behind, averaging just under one block per set with 48 total rejections, ranking eighth in the conference. A veteran presence at the net, she has tallied 368 career blocks which is good for fifth in program history. The senior is just 32 away from becoming only the third player in Duquesne history to reach the 400-block milestone.

Milestone Watch – Several Dukes are closing in on career milestones as they continue to make their mark on the stat sheet. Senior outside hitter Carsyn Henschen is nearing the 1,000-kill plateau, entering the week with 942 career kills. She ranks second on the team this season with 134, reaching double figures in seven matches while also contributing 30.0 total blocks. Junior setter Chloe Wilmot is approaching the 100-career-aces milestone, sitting at 87 overall. She ranks third on the team this year with 17 service aces. Meanwhile, junior middle blocker Jordan Robertson is aiming to become just the eighth player in program history to record 300 career blocks. She currently stands at 235.
