PITTSBURGH – Duquesne wide receiver
Joey Isabella has been named a Northeast Conference (NEC) Prime Performer for Week 1,
the league announced Monday afternoon.
Isabella tied a career high with eight receptions for 120 yards in the Dukes' season opener at Pitt on Saturday. The graduate wideout hauled in a long catch of 59 yards to set up Duquesne's first touchdown of the season and posted his second straight 100-yard game dating back to last year's finale. It marked the fourth 100-yard outing of his career.
He previously had eight receptions in a 2021 game at Ohio, also an FBS opponent.
Duquesne will be back in action on Saturday, Sept. 6, when it hosts Lincoln (PA) in the home opener at Rooney Field. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. and the game will be streamed on NEC Front Row with radio coverage on Fox Sports Pittsburgh.
