PITTSBURGH – The Duquesne University men's and women's track and field teams will compete at the 2025 Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships on Saturday and Sunday, May 3-4, in Fairfax, Va.

SEASON STATS
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
- Duquesne enters the weekend with 38 athletes ranked in the A-10 top 10, including 25 in the top seven.
- 22 Dukes rank in the top 20 of the NCAA DI Mid-Atlantic Region.
- The women's team placed sixth at the A-10 Indoor Championships, earning three silver medals:
- Duquesne athletes have set four program records and posted 20 new top-five marks this season — 11 from the men's team, 9 from the women's.
- Senior Madelyn Moretti, fourth in the A-10 in the shot put, looks to defend her 2024 A-10 title in the event and improve on last year's silver medal in the discus. She was named Co-Most Outstanding Field Performer at the 2024 meet.
REGIONAL WATCHLIST
- Rose Kuchera ranks 44th in the East Region in the triple jump, where the top 48 advance to the NCAA Division I East Preliminary Round. Halle Walcutt is 30th nationally in the heptathlon, with the top 24 qualifying for the NCAA Championships.
- Last season, Madelyn Moretti (shot put), Haley Hamilton (3,000-meter steeplechase) and Hannah Seitzinger (800 meters) became Duquesne's first women's NCAA East Regional qualifiers since 2016.

Men
- Christian Cupp set a new program record in the decathlon with 6,745 points at Bucknell ... Registered the best long jump by a Duke since 2018, tying for fifth all-time with a mark of 7.04 meters (23-1.25) at the Dalton Ebanks Invitational.
- Colm Matheney posted the second-best decathlon score in Duquesne history with 6,300 points at Bucknell.
- Cody Mankowski ranks fourth all-time in the decathlon with 5,928 points from Bucknell.
- Ian Baughman improved his own second-best program mark in the 400-meter hurdles with a 52.30 finish.
- Louie Liberatore recorded the second-best javelin throw in Duquesne history at 61.08 meters (200-5) at the Dalton Ebanks Invitational — his third time achieving the No. 2 mark.
- David Williams moved into third all-time in the 200 meters with a time of 21.43 seconds at Bucknell ... Tied for third all-time in the 400 meters with a time of 47.61 at Carnegie Mellon.
- Rocco Caprara climbed to third all-time in the hammer throw with a 51.21-meter (168-0) toss at Robert Morris.
- Joseph Klanchar posted the third-best javelin mark in program history at 56.15 meters (184-3) at GMU.
- Isaac Wetzel improved his fifth-best 400-meter hurdles time in program history with a 54.45-second finish.
Women
- Rose Kuchera set a new program record in the triple jump back-to-back weeks, reaching 12.52 meters (41-1) at Bucknell ... Made her outdoor debut with the fifth-best long jump in program history (5.83m / 19-1.5) at Charlotte.
- Nadia Constantakis broke her own school record in the pole vault at the CMU Invitational, clearing 3.76 meters (12-4).
- Anna Rorrer recorded the second-fastest time in Duquesne history in the 100-meter hurdles, running 13.79 at Virginia.
- Caroline Garbe tied the second-best high jump mark in program history at 1.70 meters (5-7) at UVA.
- Mara Whalen clocked the second-fastest 1,500-meter time (4:28.18) in program history ... Ran the fifth-fastest 800-meter time (2:10.45), both at GMU.
- Mia Pierce moved into third all-time in the discus with a 47.74-meter (155-9) throw at the CMU Invitational.
SEASON HONORS
- A-10 Rookie of the Week
- Louie Liberatore – Apr. 1, Apr. 8
- Became just the second Duke in program history to win Rookie of the Week honors twice — and the first to do so in back-to-back weeks ... Ranks second in the A-10 and 11th in the NCAA DI Mid-Atlantic Region in the javelin after setting personal bests at Carnegie Mellon and George Mason.
- Rose Kuchera – Apr. 8, Apr. 15
- Made history as the fourth Duke to earn Rookie of the Week recognition in both the indoor and outdoor seasons ... Is the first Duke in 20 years to win multiple honors in both campaigns ... Ranks second in the A-10 and eighth in the region in the triple jump, and also sits fifth in the A-10 and 18th regionally in the long jump.

Qualifying Dukes will compete in the IC4A/ECAC Outdoor Championships, scheduled for May 16-18 back in Fairfax, Va.
