PITTSBURGH – The Duquesne University men's and women's track and field teams will stay in the Keystone State, competing at Bucknell University's Bison Outdoor Classic from Saturday, April 12, to Monday, April 14.

LAST TIME OUT
Nine Dukes etched their names into the record books at the Dalton Ebanks Invitational, where Duquesne collected 15 top-three finishes and five event titles.
- Rose Kuchera set a new program record in the triple jump, won the event, and was named A-10 Rookie of the Week.
- Louie Liberatore earned his second Rookie of the Week honor after throwing the second-best javelin mark in program history and winning the event. Joe Klanchar was runner-up and moved up to the third-best javelin throw in Duquesne history.
- David Williams won the 400 meters and tied his own third-fastest time in DU history with a 47.61.
- Megan Penrod won the javelin, and Mia Pierce claimed first in the discus for the third straight week.
- Mara Whalen moved to #2 all-time in the 1,500m and #5 in the 800m, placing third and sixth, respectively.
- Isaac Wetzel and Anna Rorrer recorded top-five all-time 400m hurdle times.
- Christian Cupp posted the best long jump by a Duke since 2018 and added a PR in the 110m hurdles.
- Rocco Caprara improved his own fifth-best hammer throw mark.

- Louie Liberatore (Fr.) – 2nd all-time in the javelin with a throw of 61.08m (200-5) at the Dalton Ebanks Invitational — his third time hitting the No. 2 mark in program history.
- Ian Baughman – Opened his DU career with the 2nd-fastest 400m hurdles time in program history (52.93) at Charlotte.
- Joe Klanchar – 3rd all-time in the javelin (56.15m / 184-3) at George Mason.
- David Williams – Matched his own 3rd-fastest 400m time in program history (47.61) at George Mason and moved to 5th all-time in the 200m (21.76) at Carnegie Mellon.
- Rocco Caprara – Reset his own mark for 5th in the hammer throw (46.23m / 151-8) at George Mason.
- Christian Cupp – Tied for 5th all-time in the long jump (7.04m / 23-1.25), the best by a Duke since 2018, at George Mason.
- Isaac Wetzel – 5th in the 400m hurdles (54.49) set at George Mason.
Women
- Nadia Constantakis (Fr.) – Set a school record in each of her first two collegiate outdoor meets, most recently clearing 3.76m (12-4) at CMU.
- Rose Kuchera (Fr.) – Set a new school record in the triple jump (12.51m / 41-0.5) at George Mason; also recorded the 5th-best long jump (5.83m / 19-1.5) at Charlotte in her outdoor debut.
- Mara Whalen – 2nd all-time in the 1,500m (4:28.18) and 5th in the 800m (2:10.45), both set at GMU.
- Anna Rorrer – 4th all-time in the 100m hurdles with a time of 14.34.
- Mia Pierce – 3rd in the discus after a 47.74m (155-9) throw at the CMU Invitational.
SEASON HONORS
Men
- Louie Liberatore (Rookie of the Week Apr. 8, Co-Rookie of the Week Apr. 1) – Named Rookie of the Week for the second consecutive week, becoming the second Duke to achieve this feat. He recorded the second-best javelin throw in Duquesne history at George Mason. At the CMU Invitational, he also earned Co-Rookie of the Week honors, where he had the then- second best javelin throw in DU history before topping the mark last week ... After ranking 9th in the NCAA D1 Mid-Atlantic Region after CMU, he is now 8th. His performance qualifies him for the USA Track & Field U20 Championships.
Women
- Rose Kuchera (Rookie of the Week Apr. 8) – Became the fourth Duke to earn Rookie of the Week honors in both the indoor and outdoor seasons after winning the long jump at George Mason and setting a new program record. Her mark also qualifies her for the USA Track & Field U20 Championships.
USTFCCCA RANKINGS
- In Week 2 of the USTFCCCA rankings, the men's team climbed three spots to No. 20 in the Mid-Atlantic Region, while the women's team moved up one position to No. 16.
- The men's javelin squad held strong in the national top 25, ranking No. 24 in the event squad rankings.
UP NEXT
Duquesne will compete in the UVA Challenge on Friday, April 18, and Saturday, April 19, at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
