CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — The Duquesne University track and field teams split squads over the weekend, competing at the University of Virginia Challenge in Charlottesville, Va., and Robert Morris' Benson Hodge Memorial Invitational in Moon Township, Pa.
UVA CHALLENGE
Duquesne Results: Men • Women // Full Meet Results
Duquesne tallied eight top-10 finishes at the UVA Challenge.
- Anna Rorrer led the way with a fourth-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles (1:01.38). Eva Leatherman placed eighth in the same event, clocking a personal-best 1:02.30.
- Ian Baughman placed eighth in the 400-meter hurdles with a 54.10.
- Louie Liberatore was eighth in the javelin (60.72m / 199-2), marking his third throw over 60 meters in five meets to start his collegiate career.
- Vincent Rupp finished ninth in the high jump (1.91m / 6-3.25).
- Caroline Garbe cleared an outdoor-best 1.70m (5-7) to finish ninth in the high jump invitational section.
- The men's 4x400-meter relay team of Baughman, Isaac Wetzel, Christian Cupp, and David Williams finished sixth (3:15.01).
- The women's 4x400-meter relay team of Amy Allen, Rorrer, Leatherman, and Hannah Seitzinger took ninth (3:47.31).
In the Record Book
- Anna Rorrer moved up to No. 2 all-time at Duquesne in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 13.79, placing 11th at the meet. Her 400-meter hurdle time (1:01.38) was also a personal best and just a tenth of a second off the program's top-five list.
- Caroline Garbe's 1.70m clearance in the high jump ties her for second all-time in program history.
Notables
- Alyssa Willis ran a season-best 12.03 in the 100-meter dash.
- Mara Whalen placed 13th in the 1500 meters (4:31.85).
- Halle Walcutt recorded a personal best of 14.90 in the 100-meter hurdles.
- Freshman Nadia Constantakis finished 13th in the pole vault (3.60m / 11-9.75).
- Freshman Rose Kuchera was 12th in the long jump (5.77m / 18-11.25) and 17th in the triple jump (11.87m / 38-11.5).
- Joe Klanchar threw 54.20m (177-10) in the javelin, finishing 15th.
- Cameron Bogdan ran 9:21.45 in the 3000-meter steeplechase, placing 18th.
- Mia Pierce finished 19th in the discus with a 44.55m (146-2) throw.
- Spencer Edey took 20th in the triple jump (14.08m / 46-2.5).

The Dukes collected four first-place finishes at the Robert Morris Benson Hodge Memorial Invitational:
Duquesne totaled 23 top-five finishes at the meet — 18 by the men and five by the women.
