LEWISBURG, Pa.Christian Cupp, Rose Kuchera and Halle Walcutt each set new program records over a split-squad weekend for Duquesne track and field. Cupp posted a school-best score in the decathlon at Susquehanna. Kuchera improved her program-leading mark in the triple jump, and Walcutt set a new program record in the heptathlon at Bucknell.

Cupp's score of 6,745 points in the decathlon earned him first place at Susquehanna's Outdoor River Hawk Multis. He set personal records in the 100 meters, long jump, shot put, 400 meters, 110-meter hurdles, discus throw and pole vault, finishing first in the long jump and 400. His leap of 7.20 meters (23 feet, 7.5 inches) in the long jump moved him into third place in the Duquesne record book.

Kuchera, who was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week after setting a Duquesne best in the triple jump at George Mason last week, topped her own mark with a leap of 12.52 meters (41-1) to place second at Bucknell. Kuchera also was the meet runner up in the long jump with a 5.64-meter (18-6) mark.

Walcutt, who competed in the heptathlon on Sunday and Monday, set a new program record with a score of 5,253 points — good for first place at the meet. She led the event at the end of the first day and recorded personal bests in the high jump (1.57 meters / 5-1.75), 200 meters (25.23), and 800 meters (2:16.39), with her 800-meter time marking an improvement of over six seconds from her previous best. Walcutt earned first-place finishes in the shot put, 200 meters and javelin, along with second-place finishes in the long jump and 800 meters.

Cupp was one of three Dukes to enter the record book at Susquehanna. Colm Matheney recorded the second-best decathlon score in program history with a total of 6,300. He placed seventh overall and notched personal bests in the long jump, 400 meters, 110-meter hurdles, pole vault, javelin and 1,500 meters.

Matheney also qualified for the USA Track & Field U20 Championships with his decathlon score.

Freshman Cody Mankowski's score of 5,928 ranks fourth in Duquesne history. He set personal bests in the 400 meters, 110-meter hurdles, javelin and 1,500 meters.

At Bucknell, Ian Baughman reset his own second-best time in program history in the 400-meter hurdles, finishing in 52.30 seconds. He first recorded the mark in the season opener at Charlotte and bested it with a second-place finish over the weekend. Isaac Wetzel also improved upon his fifth-best program time, running 54.45 seconds. He initially set the mark earlier this season at Carnegie Mellon.

Anna Rorrer placed fifth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.19 seconds. She moved from fourth to third in program history, narrowly surpassing Emily Brozeski's 14.20-second mark.

David Williams finished fifth in the 200 meters with a time of 21.43 seconds, moving him into third place in the Duquesne record book. His previous best of 21.67 seconds ranked fifth.
