Piscataway, N.J. – A pair of divers from the Duquesne University swimming and diving team showcased their skills at the 2025 NCAA Zone A Diving Championships on Monday and Tuesday, hosted by Rutgers University.

Junior Ashley Felitsky and freshman Brianne Dempsey represented Duquesne in Piscataway, N.J., competing against a strong field of divers. Felitsky delivered an impressive performance, finishing 31st in the one-meter dive with a final score of 239.75 across six dives. Among all Atlantic 10 competitors, she emerged as the top finisher. On Monday, she also competed in the three-meter dive, earning a score of 194.95. This marks the third time at zones for the one-meter dive and her first for the three-meter. The Cranberry native also defeated the reigning A-10 Champion, Olivia Paquette with her performance.

Dempsey, competing in her first NCAA Diving Zones, made a strong debut in the one-meter dive. She finished 56th out of 81 divers, posting a final score of 208.25 over six dives. Notably, she outperformed multiple divers from Power Five programs, showcasing her potential at the collegiate level.

"Bri and Ashley ended their seasons with a strong performance today on 1m," diving coach Jeff Brown said. "I'm extremely proud of them. They both kept their composure against big time competition. Ashley was the highest finisher from the A-10 and Bri beat 25 divers at her first zones as a freshman."

The Dukes are back in action when they travel to Ocala, Fla., to compete at the National Invitational Championships on Wednesday, March 13 through Saturday, March 15. Prelims are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. while the finals are set for 6:00 p.m.
