PITTSBURGH – The Duquesne University football program announced its full 2025 schedule Tuesday afternoon in conjunction with the Northeast Conference (NEC) schedule release.

FULL SCHEDULE

The Dukes will play five home games at Rooney Field, including three conference matchups: Stonehill (Oct. 4), Saint Francis (Oct. 11), and Central Connecticut State (Nov. 15). The home opener is set for Saturday, Sept. 6, against Lincoln University (Pa.), followed by a visit from Lehigh on Sept. 13.

Duquesne opens the season at Pitt on Aug. 30, as previously announced. After a two-game homestand, the Dukes will face their second FBS opponent of the season, traveling to Akron on Sept. 20.

Duquesne will meet three of its four nonconference opponents — Lincoln, Lehigh, and Akron — for the first time in program history. The matchup with Pitt marks a renewal of the intracity series, last played in 1939.

Following a bye week, the Dukes begin their pursuit of an eighth NEC regular-season title with back-to-back home games against Stonehill (Oct. 4) and Saint Francis (Oct. 11).

NEC play continues with three consecutive road games: Mercyhurst (Oct. 18), Wagner (Oct. 25), and LIU (Nov. 8), with a bye week between the trips to New York.

The home finale against Central Connecticut State (Nov. 15) precedes a short trip to Robert Morris (Nov. 22) to close out the regular season. It will be Duquesne's first game at RMU since 2019.

The Dukes open the season against an FBS opponent for the sixth time and the fourth time in five years ... Pitt and Akron are the 12th and 13th FBS opponents in program history ... This is the sixth time since 2018 that Duquesne will face two FBS opponents in one season ... Lehigh is the first home nonconference FCS opponent at Rooney Field since 2018 (Valparaiso, Dayton) ... Finishing with four road games in the last five is Duquesne's longest season-ending road stretch since 1990 (five straight).
